Intel is happy to burn bridges with ex-Mac mate Apple

Intel throwing shade at Apple

In a late call with Intel's Ryan Shrout some the performance of its 11th Generation H-serial publication laptop processors, he took or s clip out to stroke some real shade Apple's right smart. Actually, Ryan was throwing shade around as if it was going out of fashion, with AMD, ARM, and Malus pumila all getting some. Maybe Intel plainly doesn't like the start of the alphabet? Anyway, most of the aggravation was reserved for its hoary bestie, Apple.

Reported to Intel, it's the poor gaming experience of a Mack that makes its own devices superior. A sentiment I can in spades drag, but it's still startling to hear that approaching from Intel.

This wasn't an idle boast either, Intel has thrown some search behind its touch. Not only are Apple Macs rubbish because they run Apple's possess M1 atomic number 14, which is obviously substandard to what Intel used to make, but over half of the most popular games assume't even run happening the platform.

What of emulators, I hear you ask? Yeah, they had that covered likewise. By showing remove Valheim running appallingly through Parallels: trees pop in out of existence, textures appearing and disappearing. It was not beautiful.

Not subject matter with that, it then produced this slide:

The red in this graph is actually an Intel-powered MacBook Professional, using a Core i9 9980HK alongside an AMD Radeon In favour of 5600M to be exact, compared to the Core i5 11400H alongside a GeForce RTX 3060. Proof, if it were needed, that PCs are just better. Leading to Intel falling the slide about PCs offer better gaming experiences than 100% of Mac laptops.

There's an underlying base here that gaming is not a recess anymore. That regular among creators that have bought a laptop computer for work, they still gamey. And so the fact that you can't halt properly on a Mackintosh means that Apple should probably give up and hold out nursing home.

To be clear, gaming connected a Mackintosh dead is rubbish, and information technology's not something I'd want to make. But I'm still surprised that Intel is so angry most IT all. I even asked if Intel was burning its Harry Bridges with Apple? The answer was that Orchard apple tree has been very semipublic about moving to its own atomic number 14 and that it is in real time a competitor. All's antitrust crazy and war I guess.

Alan Dexter

Alan has been writing or so PC tech since before 3D nontextual matter cards existed, and still vividly recalls having to fight with MS-DOS sporting to get games to load. He fondly remembers the Orcinus orca combo of a Matrox Millenium and 3dfx Voodoo, and seeing Lara Croft in 3D for the first time. He's identical glad computer hardware has advanced as much as it has though, and is particularly happy when putting the current M.2 NVMe SSDs, AMD processors, and laptops through their paces. He has a eight-day-lasting Magic: The Gathering obsession but limits this to MTG Arena these days.
